Thursday 8th May 2025 marked the 8oth Anniversary of the end of the war in Europe.
Ashton Parish Council joined in with many national and local communities celebrating VE Day 80.
At 9am on Thursday our Chair Cllr Sarah McAllister along with Vice Chair Jeremy Roychoudary read the official proclamation and laid a wreath of remembrance.
On Saturday 10th May the community came together to celebrate at The Old Crowne Ashton.
Glorious weather, delicious food from Andy and his team and Entertainment from Roade Community Choir and David Wright a wonderful day was had by all.
